Omar Qaise

OQ Technology

Omar Qaise used to work at the European Space Agency and the German Aerospace Center, as a spacecraft engineer, working on deep space and telecommunication missions. He then joined SES and O3b, where he sold more than $100M in satellite capacity and services, over a four-year stay. It is at that time, while getting exposed to the energy sector, that Omar realized how misaddressed were the needs for industrial IoT users. He learned about CubeSats which were already successful with Earth observation and wanted to bring them into telecommunications. After having reviewed the different available technologies addressing IoTs, he realized that no one cracked the wireless technology in the field and decided to launch OQ Technology.
